Greatest winter weather I have ever seen in 32 years of living in Idaho. Great year to have great friends helping with a great goal:
We have been spending a bunch of time of Johnson Creek, and the hills between Sweet and Emmett. There are always a few muddy spots, but for the most part it has been fantastic, and no dust! It is so great to have such fantastic places to ride so close. The High Desert has a unique beauty of it's own that I can't get enough of.

QUOTE:
It was on one of these rides that Gunner Jaillett contributed one of my favorite ride quotes of the Spring. While climbing a South facing slope through the mud I wimped out, got off the throttle, and stalled out. Tried it again in intimidated fashion, and barley made it up. To this Gunner J. said encouragingly, "You gotta give her the ol' Kelly Gibron. E-E-E-E!" Some time you will have to ask Kevin what that means.
MISTAKE:
The Walker Ranch is a great place for a quick cruise if you have less than an hour. One evening I ran over for a quick spin. Mistake of the Spring (so far), was saying, "Oh, it will be fast. I don't need my boots." It was super muddy, and I thought I would show Iron Mike something cool (Mistake #2) and hit both the front brake and the throttle and proceeded to throw mud halfway across the Highway.
| IRON MIKE |
The Mud was slick and flying, but that ol' rear tire finally dug down deep enough that it hit something solid, caught a grip, ripped the brake off my finger tips, popped the front wheel in the air pulling the bike further away from me and twisting the throttle even more--you have seen it before.
Drug my left calf, no boot remember, across the foot peg. Luckily, I have the extra large pegs, so they were able to grab more flesh.
Oh well, if you ride em, you wreck em. (Especially if your being a dough head)
